He, at age 15, started street dancing at a studio in Kumamoto, and at age 19, moved to Tokyo. After performing as a member of the dance groups "STAX GROOVE" and "SYMBOL-ISM", he took lessons on tap dancing at Highchi Tap Dance Studio, and at age 24, studied under tapper "HIDEBOH", "RONx㈼", and percussionist "NORIYASU". Since then, he started his career as a tapper. For five years from January 2001 to December 2005, he was an active member of "THE STRiPES". He appeared in two movies directed by Takeshi Kitano titled "ZATOICHI" (2003) and "TAKESHIS'" (2005), and also in SkyPerfecTV commercial movie for campaign in spring 2005. In November 2005, "THE STRiPES", including him, traveled to the U.S. to take part in the 15th anniversary festival of Chicago Human Rhythm Project, representing Asia. Then, in January 2006, he kicked off his solo works. After that, he has organized many events in various situations and live shows in collaboration with many musicians. In 2007, he choreographed tap dancing in the movie titled "Smile--The Holy Night's Miracle" directed by Takanori Jinnai. In August 2007, he started to organize the tap dance session titled "ashioto (the sound of footsteps)" held on Thursday nights at ANCE in Yoyogi, envisioning the popularization of tap dancing.
